1:00pm - Arrive and Check Into Rooms

If you haven’t been able to check into your lodging yet, feel free to store any luggage in our room.

Gather in the garden for lunch and a chance to get aquainted with everyone. We will have all the fixings for sandwiches, chips, drinks and sweets.

2:00pm - Group Hike

Carpool to the trailhead.

Trailhead Location

It’s an 8-10 minutes drive up HWY 1. The hike is wonderful and not overly strenuous. There are benches periodically along the trail as well as bathroom facilities (port-o-potty type)

If you aren’t joining the group hike, feel free to lounge about in the garden area, walk down toward the pier, visit the antique shops in town, take a nap, read a book… just enjoy your down time.

4:00pm - Return to the Motel

Chill for a while! Hangout in the garden, walk down to the water, or check out some nearby shops.

5:30pm - Dinner at Duckies

Duckies is known for their Fish & Chips and Clam Chowder. They also have chicken dishes, tacos, burgers, salads and veggie buritos.

This will be a dinner where everyone pays for themselves.

Campfire on the beach

We will have everything to make s’mores. Beach blankets and a few chairs will be available.

Come for a quick stop, or stay for a while.

8:00am - 9:30am : Breakfast

Collect your breakfast from room #7 (The West Wind) Expect to find fruit, muffins, cereal, yogurt, juice and such. Coffee will not be made for the group, but if you make the coffee provided in your room, there will be milk and half&half avaialble in room #7 to enhance your hot beverage. There are also a few coffee shops close by with lovely coffee and espresso drinks if you feel like going for a morning stroll.

Morning and Afternoon options

If you are joining the 10am group tour of Hearst Castle, make sure to depart no later than 9:15am, it’s a 30 minute drive to The Castle

We highly recommend stopping to see the Elephant Seals. They are close by Hearst Castle. Stop by before of after the 10am tour.

The rest of the morning/afternoon is up to you.

4:00pm (ish): Return to get ready

Get all gussied up!

5:00pm: Ceremony in the Garden

Meet up a few minutes before 5pm to get settled. The ceremony won’t be long.

Right after the Ceremony: Toasts!!

Fizzy Drinks! Fill your cup with Champagne or Sparkling cider!

6:00pm: Reception Dinner at Schooners

There will be a nice variety of appetizers as well as your choice of 5 tasty entree choices.

8:00pm: Time for cake!

There will be 3 different cake options from the Madonna Inn. YUM!
